The E92 M3 GTS is way better than the E46 M3 CSL. What an orange color!

It has been said : Not 250 GTS but 135 worldwide (not 125, I had a look at number 126... mine is 124)

It has been said too : weight comparution is wrong

Finally, and once again it has been "implied" too, Ring times are false. As for EVERY BMW, BMW does not indicate real times. The 1er M Coupe in 8:15 is a big joke and the GTS in 7:48 too

I was on the racetrack last saturday with poor Pirelli P Zero Corsa Tires and with my 20 years old drive I followed 996 GT3 on slick tires and 997 GT3 RS !!

Will take my GoPro HD next time and I will have Michelin Pilote CUP, I will try to post my video here
Some garage you have there! How do you compare them, especially curious about how you evaluate the 1M since I also have one but not the others you enjoy.

I spoke to Christine Fleisher at BMW NA and she mentioned it is simply too expensive to test the cars in NA for such a limited number of sales. It is too prohibitive in terms of cost to safety/emissions test such vehicles. Besides that, there are some things about these cars that would never get past US DOT standards.

You are better off buying one of these, importing it into the Dominican Republic and then transferring the title to a state in the contiguous US. This method makes it possible and legal.

It's freaking amazing that every time I see a E46 I still love it. The time tried classical lines do not appear dated at all even a decade after release. IMO BMW designs has gone downhill ever since. Bangle was controversial but to the least it was exciting. The newest generation of BMW is just too plain. The pendulum seems to sway too far in either direction after E46.

E46 M3s that are stock or close to stock have aged well. The modded out e46s look like rice now IMO.

Man, I totally agree. Just two hours ago I was driving my lowly Subaru wagon when a guy cruised past me in a beautiful Interlagos Blue M3.

It had factory mesh style wheels and the car was lowered perfectly. The paint was mint and it had an aftermarket exhaust that sounded like heaven. It also had a sweet, but subtle carbon fiber difuser that fit like a factory part and set off the quad exhaust. I gave the guy props on his car which he seemed to appreciate. The E46 truly is a special car.
