VMR Wheels
I am trying to buy the Competition Pack wheels in black, but BMW UK and Germany do not have any in stock and no offer of build/delivery dates. There are loads available in Silver but I definitely want black.
So looking around I saw these, it seems you can only get them in the US of A, VMR - V710's. They are OEM fitment in a 19" so a like for like swap, priced at $999 + shipping (then the usual import duty) Is anybody in the UK running these wheels....? |

I ran the VMR - V713's which S99ane bought off me before I sold my car. They had YOKO AD08's on, super good tyres.
Not as light as the OEM 19" twin spoke though. Ask S99ane what he thinks. |

I've read a few posts on here that they are made of cheese and bend easily.
UK drivers feedback would be good to hear as we have a few pot holes knocking about..? |

I bought Marcus set a few months ago. The wheels have been absolutely fine so far and have had quite a few coments and quries about them. I've had no regrets and have never looked back.

I'm running VMR VB3s for exactly the same reason - I couldn't get hold of ZCPs, so got these from mstyle in Essex. Went for the 19x10 rears for the 'ultra concave' look and I'm pleased with the result.
No complaints, other than what others have reported in the fact that the paint can be a little 'soft'. Only one wheel has shown any sign of this though, with a couple of tiny stone chips on the very edge of the rim. Wasn't best pleased, as I go to much effort not to go near a kerb with them! Oh well, gotta drive the damn thing, right?! A couple of weeks ago there was a set of matte black ZCPs for sale on Ebay. IIRC I think they went for a touch under £2k with tyres. I doubt you'll see those come up often though! Apologies for the poor quality pics, as these were just taken with my iPhone. |
