Cadillac CTS-V Brembo's for an M3???
Has anyone ever test fitted Cadillac CTS-V 2009-2013 Brembo's on a E9x?
they look very similar to the Brembo Gran Turismo GT BBK check out this set up....I know I would want two piece rotors...Ive looked up the specs they are 370mm and 32mm http://www.ebay.com/itm/281193856222...#ht_7216wt_904 |

would require a custom made mount to make the calipers attach to the hub, offset of the hub portion to the actual rotor may be different, piston size not optimized to the m3, front rear bias not set for the m3, and on and on.

For those doubters, it is not uncommon to find custom brackets made for existing OE Brembo products. Porsche Brembos on E36 M3s is the first and best example that comes to mind. However, Corvette brakes will work as well with a bracket. Thus a Brembo BBK at a fraction of the cost. http://www.rallyroad.net/content/bmw...apter-brackets A more applicable example is this ZO6 kit for the E46. http://www.rallyroad.net/content/e46...-big-brake-kit As has been stated, a bracket will be required to make them work.

Awesome!!! I'll prob try this...I can get a full set of Calipers CTS-V's front a nd rear for about $1K and brackets for $300...sounds like a $4-6K savings...

E92 M3
Curb weight Coupe: 1,580 kg (3,483 lb) Specs on bmwusa.com confirm 14.2 inch front (roughly 360mm) and 13.8 inch rear (roughly 350mm). CTS-V Curb weight 4,250 lb (1,930 kg) Piston size OD 30/34/38mm # of pistons 6 09-13 CTS-V J56 Brembo 8.52 sq. in. 5497.8 sq. mm Fixed (L) 25912477, 172-2487 (R) 25912967, 172-2488 09-13 CTS-V J56 Brembo One-piece Router 14.68" 373mm 1.26" 32mm 2.65" 67.4mm 25.6 lbs 25851237, 177-1105 Yes there are some significant differences. The CTS-V weighs about 700Lbs more. But wouldn’t this be an advantage having brakes that are more capable? Less pedal effort? Remember I’m talking about CTS-V front and rear matching set…13mm more rotor on the front but the bracket could probably compensate for this…I know the rotor offsets and hubs may be a incompatible….but that’s partly why I asked this question…to see if anyone has tried to fit them on and possibly buying a set of Brembo rotors and hats to fit… |

I love the fact that you are taking a chance, nice work. Only concern if you are doing front and rear is the overall pistion size, will the stock master cylinder keep up?
Good luck!
