Oh no, not another Dinan suspension thread!!

So I've been doing a lot of reading and it looks like my next mod is going to be a Dinan Stage 1 suspension kit with RE 12mm spacers all around (for a more bulldog stance). I think this is the best next mod for me (not gonna paint my stock calipers)

I have a few questions:

1. Being that the car is lowered, will the new suspension cause me to rub if I were to have people sitting in the back or weight in my trunk?

2. Will the spacers cause any rubbing for the same reasons above?

3. Will the spacers change the dynamics of the cars handling? Will it handle better or worse?

4. Will the springs/spacers cause any premature damage to any part of the car?

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate everyone on this forum with all your great opinions and knowledge.

Cheers!

Nick

p.s. I'm going Dinan for my springs, so no bashing or telling me to go another brand.

If u r on stock wheels, that setup will still not look "bulldog"...

U will almost never rub with the dinan suspension being that its soo conservative, and the 12mm spacers will not make the wheels sit flush in the rear, they r good for the front. What u should go with is 12mm up front and 15mm in the rear, hell, with the dinan suspension i would even do 15mm up front and 18mm in the rear.

Once again, this is assuming u r on the stock wheels.

that setup is designed to not use spacers so i would leave them off as you would get no gain and possibly hurt the handling. i would find out from dinan if the spacers would hurt it. i would get the camber plates from them or anti roll bar instead of spacers, just my op

I wouldn't say that Dinan suspension is NOT designed to use with spacers when Dinan's very own E9XM3 wheels actually come with spacers. =)

Dinan springs don't really lower the car much. You won't have any issues.

he said he was using stock wheels so that is what i was reffering to, i should of clarified better. i would think if there was a benifit dinan would reccomend them like they use on the dinan wheels. for stock wheels i don't see any benifit with spacers and the dinan susp. like i said i would ask dinan, i could be wrong

1. No
2. No
3. Maybe, but you probably won't feel it driving on the street
4. Unlikely, but there is the warranty offered by BMW and Dinan. But make sure you take off your spacers first if something does break.
