Hard to say. Maybe check your coolant once it cools down.

Do you get these temps just cruising, or while driving aggressively, traffic jams? I ask because today my engine temp raised to 220-230. Highest I've ever seen. Outside 93. I redlined it two or three times (maybe more) on open highway. I cruised after seen the temp and it lowered fairly quick. I have a Dinan pulley (for several thousand miles now), not sure if this matters that much.

Mine is usually right in the middle (210) but I have noticed it will sometimes creep past there as well. I live in sofla so it's very hot here and I will usually redline it once or twice during a drive. Is this normal?

Guys I need some feedback....
Remember my original posting about the engine temperature right? Well I notice that the coolant was low so I decided to do a flush (this weekend) Well....I notice my AC was not cooling well so I took it yesterday to the dealership....They said they have to vacuum the AC and put a dye, drive the car for a while and bring the car back. The funny part is, they are recommending me to flush the radiator ($200.00)??? Really? my car had low coolant but the engine is not that hot to affect my AC (220~230)....Plus I think is the heater that is linked to the Radiator not the AC... I'm going to do the Flush in the AC but do you guys think I should do the coolant radiator??? (They said is not just a drain, they are going to clean everything) |

how are you measuring water temp? this car doesn't have a gauge... are you talkinh about the oil temp? then yes, that is more of a dummy gauge w/ a wide range and will move

While there isn't an analog water temp gauge present, there are still high-temp warnings on the OLED display on the cluster (and iDrive, if equipped).
