What are they thinking - just bring the european one over already. This thing just looks so pudgy and tall and narrow... all the wrong recipes for a coupe.

I hope they're not thinking of competing with the scion tC

I saw the 4 dr version of this thing and I thought it was one of those low-end KIA models.. (no offence to KIA owners)

How is Ford this bad at making designs!? Get the Euro design team over here ASAP. This thing oozes ugliness from every angle, including the interior. I don't get it.

The point of a coupe is to be stylish. First of all, this looks like a 4-door with two doors chopped off. The roof isn't any swoopier, the windshield isn't raked more, the styling isn't stylish. Damn. The front bumper made me lol.

Well...at least the wheels don't look bad...for OEM.

But everything else surrounding the wheels doesn't look that great.

I just dont undestand it. Is it really that hard to get someone to design something sexy for these american companies? I mean really....seriously??????? I know there are plenty of art students that can shred these companies to hell...I just don't god damn understand what is going on.

Don't let Ford and Chrysler bring GM down. GM's latest products are amazing. CTS and the Malibu( GM can't build enough of them to meet demand and the UAW strike at the Fairfax plant isn't helping. ) are much improved products.

At least Ford admitted they fucked up. They said the new Focus ended up costing more then it would of cost to bring the Euro Focus over.

Agreed the new Caddy's a force to reckon with... with BMW is struggling to maintain its edge in the CTS vs. 5 series comparo's.

That being said, this is only one long overdue step up for the American auto industry where most cars are frilly looking, form over function, hap hazardly thrown together machines with questionable quality and longevity. However, there are a few shining stars.....

The only reason I liked the current Mustang was because it thrived off of the retro craze, which is getting pretty old now.

The concept is good, and the design is commendable, but it's about the only noteworthy Ford I can think of design-wise that's come out in the past decade. It still fails in the detail department, and is rather cheap looking upon relatively close inspection. I know it's a value-based car, but still. I've seen better done by the Japanese for the same money.

The revised Stang looks promising though.

GM is doing great with their designs! Much better than Ford. I have to give em major props for the CTS, CTC, and Malibu.

This looks like it could have come out 2 generations ago and it would still be a little dated...

Ford in America needs to take note from Pontiac (ala G8), and bring the Australian and Euro line to the states. How damn hard is that to comprehend?

Ford should really FOCUS on designing better looking cars! I think the reason why they screwed up on this one may be that they've been trying to match Toyota in quality and thus completely forgot about the aesthetic.
