Anyone else waiting on a car at the Preparation Center?

Yes, your car will probably be held up too, if you need the Seat Module.

Over on one of the X5 boards, they are stating all of the “Seat Modules” went into the new 5 Series cars, because BMW didn’t want any bad press during launch of the new 5 Series.

Yes, I was also on the ELEKTRA! My car has been at the port since the 12th, waiting for power seat modules. I am really hoping that all of this gets solved pretty soon, as it's incredibly frustrating to have the car stuck at the port for longer than it took to ship across the ocean. My CA is thinking that next week is the week. We'll see if that's true, or just wishful thinking...

Yeah mine came in on the 12th as well. 12 days to cross the ocean, now on the 15th day sitting at the VDC... My CA said most likely next week but possibly this weekend.

It sounds like we are finally close to the finish line, and will see our cars sometime between this weekend and next weekend. Apparently, seat modules are now in stock and being installed, with the focus (according to my CA) on Priority 1--Sold vehicles.

Strange, my dealer told me my car has been released to the trucking company (out of Hueneme) for shipment. It was there since the Falstaff dropped it off on Thursday, but if it's been released, that means everything on it checked out...no seat problems.

interesting. mine hit port on the 20th..or was it the 21st. they said there were 2 ships that docked and mine was on the 2nd one they didnt report to me any holdups but then again they didnt seem so informed of the whole process.

hopefully it comes at least by the scheduled date. i was told it could come any day now with the 3rd of june being the latest haha.

ugh hopefully it doesnt take too much longer. i hope to hear a phone call tomorrow or next week at least.

My CA just got in touch with me. Said my car should be in this weekend but if not it will be here Tuesday at the latest.

However, he also said mine was one of the first they worked on, so YMMV.

I just got the same call! I am now expecting to take delivery Saturday or Sunday...It looks like the wait is finally over!!!

My M3 has been sitting in the VPC since May 12. My CA told me that it was assigned to a carrier yesterday and he will tell me when he hears more from BMW. So does this mean I can expect it any day now or can there still be a long wait to actually get on the truck?

Good news = my car has officially escaped from prep center and should be here sometime next week.
Bad news = i will be out of town when it arrives...f*****ck!

This is officially getting ridiculous. I am now nearing a month from the time that my car landed in Baltimore. Last week I was told that it should be at the dealer 5/31, and its now 6/2 with no update at all. BMW somehow has managed to kill the excitement and make me wonder why I didn't look harder at the competition...
