The only thing I have programmed is the nav setting for the Nurburgring when I did ED. Every once in a while, I hit the button for nostalgias sake.

does anyone know how to reprogram a programmed button?
when i hold down a button to reprogram, it'll just program what's already playing (i'm not given the menu anymore)

I believe you just have to push and hold the button long enough to save the new feature.

Can you program a specific sub screen? like I want the "car data" screen under nav, or you can only have high level screens, like Nav. i prefer to do: nav address, phone list, car data, on location search, radio |

The 6 buttons are also touch sensitive. Of you glide your finger on top of the button the iDrive display will show what is programmed on that button.

OK, maybe I'm just dense but how do you do this?!? I have the rest of the buttons programmed and know how to do it but can't get this to work. I put the Nav into night mode and hold the button to program but it only seems to save "Navigation" but not in night mode.

I have also saved 50 lbs by only allowing women that weigh 50 lbs less than my ex wife to ride in the car. Actually, this thread prompted me to go over to the electronics section and ask how to shuffle my ipod. All is good now. |
