Why not? The M3 is always on par with the Carrera, which has beaten that car. It has always been a good bit faster then the M5, which is already clocking 7:55 laps in traffic The M3 makes 414 hp from a 4.0 liter. The motor was developed over 5 years ago. The 2012 GT makes 420hp from a 5.0 liter. BMW is winning that horsepower war, but in my eyes and what matters to me. As far as the rest i'm x100 on you have clearly no clue what it takes to have fun in a car simply how you contradict yourself. Yes BMW, build low revving, bottom end torquey motors (because bottom end torque matters on a track) , mass produced V8's geared towards American roads for your cars, not the rev happy, lightweight, race bred motors similar to those found in GT3's, Ferrari's, Lotus',NSX-R's,Atoms, Lamorghini's etc. etc. Remove the fun from the M3 and it'll be fun. .
