Is this normal

I just stored my car for the winter, I have the BMW battery tender/charger and when I hooked it up (yesterday) it remained solid red until this am, now it is solid red and blinking green.

The charger is working fine, but it seems like the battery was really low, much less than 80% because it took almost 18 hours to achieve 80% charge.

The car is only 7 months old, so it\'s a new battery.

Thanks

Before storing the car did you go for a drive (at least 20 miles) to make sure the battery was fully charged?

Drove about 18 miles ... Pretty close, it's my daily driver, I drove it that morning, filled it with gas, came home .... Let it run for a bit before I put it in the garage ....
