Christmas tree thread
Picked up this tree yesterday--all by myself. One of the reasons why I keep my old Nissan pathfinder...no way I would haul a tree on the roof of my BMW. Will post a pic when it's decorated in a few days most likely.
It's an 8' Nordmann Fir. Lets see your trees. I actually find it amusing how we have these holiday icons: plant and cut trees and put lights and decorations, grow pumpkins and carve faces and have bunnys that hide eggs....silly stuff really.

If it wasn't for the wife i'd just do a fake tree. A fresh one is nice but it's a massive pain the arse, the needles get everywhere and the clean up is a fucking chore. Add the challenge of getting the dang thing straight to begin with and it's just a PITA imho.

Pops was telling me that the trees were going to be smaller this year. I had no idea it was going to be THAT dramatic.
We used to go cut our own, but nobody grows noble firs in SoCal any more. To make room for presents, we normally put on an end table and limit the tree to 4-5 feet. In about 2 weeks I'll be tasked with picking one up. |

I looked back at some old pics and found this one from 13 years ago. It was the second or third tree we got after getting our house. We didn't even have furniture for the living room, which is how it fit. Doors are 8' and ceilings are 12' and I remember needing to cut the tree to get it to fit. What a fucking PITA. It was our last real tree. I'll post up the (much smaller) fake one we use now later when it is fully decorated.

Ah, but it's Christmas. Just sing Jingle Bells, and you'll be merry and cheerful as you're fighting everything about the tree.

Oh..you Grinches are so disappointing..even ShopVac, coolest guy....only blah blah blah..bitch bitch bitch..can't even start a nice fun thread and punk-ass shit here and only me with a nice pic. So, don't get a stupid tree because it is too much work, bad for the environment or too early..just go to sleep all you pansy-asses.
Santa is giving you guys a fake, snowflake happy, Penguin hating 8" tree.
