Neighbor's cat!

And here I thought I was the only with this problem...

The ex gf's cat used to love sleeping on the roof of my car, tried spraying it with water every time and every morning it would be laying on the roof. Ended up getting rid of the gf. Problem solved!

Near where you park your car, tie a catnip toy on a durable / fish line (hanging / pendulum style, just enough out of reach). Attract the mystery cat away from the car to concentrate on catnip toy...then, if you want it gone - get a BB gun and shoot it right in the butt. You won't see that cat again.

There's a lot of coyotes where I live. That pretty much solves any potential cat issues around here.

That is one solution that will help with not only their cat, but other's as well. That is cool of them to do, but really, they shouldn't let their pet freely roam in the first place I have a real problem with irresponsible pet ownership! Pets you care about should be taken care of like pets you care about. Keep it indoors or at the very least under control; the pet doesn't know any better. Your post should have been titled simply, Neighbors!

OP, they make motion activated air blasters (can of compressed air) that are meant to deter cats. Buy a few and place them on the ground around the car.

You don't want to do anything that involves scaring the cat once it is already on the car or you will be making an expensive trip to the body shop.
