What to get for your GF?
Hey anyone have any suggestions on what to get for a GF? A nice watch, camera, gift certificate to Nordstroms, etc ... Any other suggestions...

send her some flowers, like stargazer lillies, to her work and make her a nice dinner if you can cook at all. she would probably appreciate something more thoughtful than a gift certificate. is there anything she might have mentioned she wanted? it would let her know you listen.

Get her a coupon for two hours with me.
Seriously though, I prefer giving practical gifts rather than things like jewelry, but it depends on your girl. Get something that's specific to something she likes and it won't seem like a generic GF gift (flowers, jewelry, etc).

Cook for her, send her flowers, write her a personal note on how you feel about her.
If you're gonna take her out...take her out somewhere fun (museum, minature golf, etc.) and then go someplace fun to eat. Someplace unexpected. Now if your girl is into fancy restaurants and expensive gifts...I hope you got $$$ and remember to keep your pimp hand strong! |

If it's for valentine's day, plan something special. You can get her a gift any other time of the year; valentine's only comes once a year so make it count. Maybe take a day off and do things with her (movies, sailing, etc.). At the end of the day take her dancing and then eat or vice versa (perhaps a picnic in the park would be good). Just make sure to end the night with something memorable.

hahaha... my buddy actually got his wife a turkey fryer for Christmas one year. Lucky she was a good sport about it; though needless to say, he went above and beyond the following year.

I hate people who ask other people on forums what to get their girlfriend. No offense to you in particular, but it should be a gift that means something to her and the thought put into it is what counts.

If she didn't already get one for Christmas, go with Justin Timberlake's suggestion. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/uncensored.shtml
Maybe instead of a normal square box, put it in a heart shaped box!

all classic lines to try and come across as something different than what they really are: self absorded, big penis craving, materialistic chicks who care way too much about what her girlfriends think of her boyfriend. |
