Dude,

The equation is this

49,900=X-X(.05)

Where X equals MSRP and 49,900 is the Mil Sales price

The estimate that was given to me was about 50K and that was 5% under MSRP which would be 55K MSRP base.

The options that were shown to me, that I also have the paperwork for, were all based on the 3ser.

All these numbers are well over 6 months old as I did my paper work even before I left for deployment.

Jason
How is 50K 5% under 55K?

What I received today was a formal marketing piece that was new, not old, I ordered in June and received the same info you are talking about. This is the first time I was presented with a formal marketing document with option lists and packages unique to the M series, not 3 series. Yes, the MIL sales price quoted does say "Est" next to it, but before, things were much more vague, nothing in print, and every thing on paper order forms said "TBD" - To Be Determined.

Umm, ya, I'm not THAT dumb, I didn't produce that simple equation due to the fact that there still exists one major variable. That is what exactly WILL be the percent discount. I used the old percent discount and added a grand to the CIV MSRP for good measure.

I didnt mean to jump down your throat just trying to simplify your word problem that was hard to follow.

Not sure what the Mil Sales discount is, your porbably not either, I was told in the beginning that it was anywhere between 5-10%.

No prob...expect the discount to be better than you think.

FYI the NAV "may" be discounted $200 compared to CIV pricing...

Hmmm, all options for @72k..........puts it about 20k over a fully equipped E92 Coupe......sounds about right.

80k estimates were outlandish as were some of the claims for 60k fully equipped.............

Still, 70k for a 3 series.........oye ve!

It was just 8 years ago when my buddy picked up his fully equipped 1998 E36 M3 for only...

.............44k!

I don't get it. How can it be lower than $51k? Say, if it is $50.5k, with 10% discount (bast case) that would translate to $56.1k MSRP? How did you arrive at $57.5k?

I think he mentioned something about adding $1k just for good measure.

OK, I missed that.

So, it sounds like he was quoted $50900 for the MIL sales price then.

The MSRP is still kind of in the air though. I am not sure why the discount rate would change, but then I know nothing about the MIL sales program. Based on this info, it sounds like the MSRP would be in the $56-$58k range.

Thanks for the information.

I'm also waiting for confirmation on the exact pricing for Military Sales. When the price is released, I'm going to put my deposit down for the M-DCT.

I hope that the Individual Audio makes it in at least as a Priority 1 option... I'm going to push my dealer hard to squeak that in if I can.

I updated my spreadsheet with Davo's numbers, and narrowed the base price range. I also lower the DCT estimate to 3k.

Audio

Davo. What is the option code for the enhanced audio on your new spec sheeet? 752? How can you tell it's stand alone? The previous spec sheets annotate that it requires navigation (609) or the package which includes navigation (ZTP) in order to get 752: enhanced premium sound. Thanks. (I'm hoping for enhanced audio without nav screen)

Yes, that's a rotten deal. See options list in post #43. Metallic appears to be non-standard. Realism is not the same thing as sadism.
