I actually made those! They were inspired by old WWII rations.

A = Gasoline Ration
C = Mileage Ration

And then I have one with a DSC symbol for Track Use cars. Here's a photo:

I'm not sure if any paint will stay on for a prolonged period of time, honestly but I could be wrong. From what I remember, this paint wore off in a couple hundred miles.
