There is a solvent that comes with Betalink if you buy it from the dealership. It comes in the same box together. It is used to take off Betalink. I dont remember the name of it exctly off the top of my head. I think I still have the bottle at home, I can check when I get home from work tonight if no one else chimes in in the meantime.

My bumper had to be painted after we removed them. The splitters were fine tho. Betalink is no joke.

It's called BMW Group Reiniger R-1 multi-purpose solvent. Part# 82 69 9 408 866 . This came with the beta link. I used some when I installed my OEM CF spoiler. It worked, but the beta link was freshly applied. Not sure how it will work on stuff that has been on there for a while. Might need to repaint stuff like the above post said. Hope this helps.

I just got my splitters removed last week. Bumper had to be repainted because of the beta link.

I would never have beta link used... It is even worse than screws and bolts.

I've used the Betalink k1 and k2. K1 is one part and has like a 2 hr curing (depending on temp), while k2 is a two part and cures reeeeally fast. Probably you have k1. That doesn't mean it's easier to take it off. This product is used by BMW so its good at adhearing. The bonding will break on its weakest point which probably is the bonding between the paint and the bumper, instead of the splitter and the paint. This thing really sticks to paint and to ABS or CF. Sorry to say it but repainting the bumper would be a must. Paint will be damaged 99% of the time, unless they use drops. Try a heating gun and the solvent. Last option will be to pull whatever you can and going and sand the rest. Sorry for the bad news.

Ill throw this out there..

I recently replaced my (beat up) oem performance spoiler with a new one. My method of removing the betalink'd old one? I cut it the F off with the pressure washer!lol

Seriously though. 1600psi electric washer. Put the nozzle about 1/32 inch away and slowly moved it along the edge of the spoiler. At times, i would lift on the spoiler as I continued to cut.

It will not remove it completely, but it takes it down to a super thin layer that you can't even feel. Completely smooth, but a black line. Because I was putting on the same piece that has the same footprint, I wasn't concerned with the line.

I don't think you could do this for the splitters though because the angle you need to shoot the water.
