Good to hear you and your family is OK, Mega Man.

TV here just showed 2 idiots waiting on the beach. Some people are just plain stubborn.

Then we (were in a restaurant) saw the TV come on to show Tohoku area and that it wasn't a small earthquake at all. It was a really big one just really far north of us!

Anyway, the weather here has been really strange. It was starting to get warm (felt like Spring was coming), then suddenly this week it got cold (it snowed here on Wednesday morning suddenly!). Right now it's starting to rain. I guess the strange weather and earthquake kind of co-incides.

However, we are worried, since there was a quake in Hokkaido, followed by the "Tokyo" quake. It's as if it's moving south. What's worse is the Nuclear plant (maybe just rumors from people around me) is now reporting a leak! Officially on the news, I haven't heard it's leaking, only that it's an emergency.

The phone lines are really jumbled, so calling now is difficult. But we stocked up on some food supplies, and our power/water still works. Thanks for thinking of me. I can't wait to get back to the US (US is always home to me).
Glad you and your family are okay dude

Our tsunami warning so far seems to be just the water level rising by a few inches then going back to normal. Exactly the same as 13 months ago after the Chile quake when they predicted 16 foot waves in Hawaii.

Prayers for all that are affected go out ... what is the weather coming to. I hope everyone will be safe with the 24 hour warning they had. Let us hope so.

Mother nature is angry I think. Here in Southwestern Ontario Canada we had rain all day yesterday it rained cats and dogs, this morning we awoke with 6 inches of wet heavy snow on the ground 4 more inches to come before it will stop. In all we had around 3 meters this winter season.

Sounds like, expect the worst, hope for the best situation. Glad it's ok for you.

Yeah. It doesn't look real. The video of the cars washing away looks like Hollywood special effects made with a mini-sized set. Do we have any members here who are serving and stationed over there? I bet they'll have to mobilize and see a good amount of devestation first-hand.

I know man. My mouth was open. I don't even want to think of damage estimates and people that haven't even been discovered missing yet.
