Software Integration

Looking for some help identifying what software version I am running on my car. I see many posts discussing the 240E update and I cant help but be curious. Just left the dealer and the printout reads as follows:

Integration plant E89X-10-03-502
I-Level HO E89X-11-09-506

Any help is appreciated!

That's ISTA/P 2.45 so you're probably on 231E.

220E at earliest.

Don't worry about updating unless you're going to get performance software as well.

Benvo can verify but I believe 231E was the one that made the difference for many people. Seeing as that's what you've got, no reason to spend more to get 240E unless, like Mike said, you are wanting some performance software. We include the newest software free with all of our performance tunes.

Nothing in particular to 231E is 'special' as opposed to 220E, etc..

It's just on very old software (such as 60E, or 80E) that an update is a good idea.

Great news. Thank you for taking the time to educate me on this. Car runs very strong right now but I can see a software tune in my future. Mike, you are at the top of my list when I'm ready to pull the trigger!

Checked mine today, I have E89-08-03-530, which seems to be one of the earlier versions. Any ideas what version number this is? I'm hoping for some extra gains when I do a tune in the future...

That is the original version that came with your car (March 2008) and is probably 60E. You would benefit from the update.

Is there a generally accepted way to determine which version is in the car short of hooking it up to a system?

The dealer has a record of the versions installed, give them a call and they should be able to tell you over the phone.
