Pieces of plastic/metal under leather seats

I just noticed in my passenger side seat a small-ish piece of either plastic or metal in the shape of a baby spoon under the leather. It's in the part of the seat closest to the back rest. When I run my fingers over the leather, I can feel it. Luckily none of my passengers feel anything because it's far back enough as not to touch their bottom, however, it's starting to make a very minor indentation in the leather

I'm guessing it might be wiring or ?? Anyone else notice this?

Normal I think, sensor or heater or something

Heater wiring. I can feel them in both seats. Crappy workmanship IMO. But my black leather is thick enough they're hardly noticeable. And since they're behind your buttocks, you can't feel them.

I believe BMW has a sb for the problem.

Apparently it's a sensor that comes loose in heated seats.
