Let's see your winter beater or your M3 winter wheel and tire setup.

It's that time of year already.
Here's mine a 1997 Jeep Cherokee worth probably $2,000 equipped with a remote starter (very important up here in my opinion since the jeep is parked outside hee hee).

Now that is a very bad car to drive in the snow! Lucky to live in socal so I don't have to worry about a winter setup.

My M Coupe's too low, but if I had an E90 M3 I'd swap on snow tires and keep going. Since I don't...

Surprisingly good in the snow with snow tires, thanks to the RWD/rear engine layout. And there's nothing easier to push if you do get stuck.

Cum & Go - like it.

I just use my wife's rig with Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows the few bad days we have here each year or to go skiing.

From another thread.

The M3 is a fine all-season car if you change out your tires.

the m3 is an awesome winter car ! i love how it can go to the track in the summer and still be driven daily in the winter... of course this wont apply if you dont have winter tires or if youre slammed to the ground. but here are pics of mine last winter. i have sottozeros on stock 18s for winter.

Back when I was in Boston this past winter:

Will be running the same snow tire setup for the occasional snow up in PNW, likely paired with a set of TE37 in custom powder coat with 10mm spacers all around.

I can see some of you guys snow drifting your M3's out there.
I know AMG offers winter driving courses in RWD cars to AMG car owners, don't about M.

Tire rack winter setup...

here's my setup--this will be 2nd year running them here in France. Dunlop Sports 3D (Z-rated for the occasional drive back to Germany). Great tires, wheels are easy to clean...but have to drive more gently (in the dry) because the stock 235/40-18 all around doesn't give you much in the rear. Still worth the grip in the white stuff and they brake really well in cold, wet, icy conditions.

Unlike most of continental Europe, France doesn't require a switch-over to winter tires so in December/January, everyone else is fighting for grip on the cobblestones...never mind when you get the freak winter storm in Paris.

OT, but how do you like the S4? Just saw one at an Audi party the other day, seemed really nice.
