With the BMW package you can pull into any bmw dealership and they change your tire. Its not going to cover curb rash but if there is any rim or tire damage, they will replace. The 3rd party will try to repair your rim as long as it holds air which sucks |

As luck has it, I semi-often end up with nails in my tires. Maybe 1-2x a year. Always had them fixed with patch+plug combination. I guess getting new $400 tires is a nice way to make this worth it!

I got the 5-year plan for the Wheel and Tire insurance for $1249 -- and added BMW's Paintless Dent Repair for another $400. Both are for five years, unlimited miles. Both are unlimited number of claims, no deductibles, no maximums, and unlimited miles. How can you beat that?

Good thing you brought this up, I'm interested in finding out if there is a max as well. I'm actually going to sign for my M on Thursday and was interested in a warranty for my rims/tires. Probably should have started my research on the subject a while ago...whoops.

The top tier BMW plan has no max payout, but it is ~1200 to 1500. I got it for 1200 already had two tires and a wheel replaced, with more than four years of protection remaining.

From what I understand, it's basically a road hazard warranty. The question you have to ask yourself is how often do you get nails, screws, etc in your tires (or how bad are the roads that you drive on - potholes, etc). We don't really have many potholes where I live. The roads are in pretty good shape. What to do, what to do... |
