Question 2012 e92? What do I need to know for order

Hello all. I will be ready to purchase a new m3 in about a month and before I sign up for a 2011 I'd like to have a few questions anwsered...

I want a fully loaded comp pkg, extended fox red, carbon fiber, dct audio everything BUT moon roof and rear sun shade. I'm not sure if this will be a hard car to find or what.

Are there going to be ANY changes made to the 2012? Won't the new turbo m3 be out in 2013 at some point? If the turbo is coming out in 2012 then I might just wait.

If I order a car do I have to pay the $76.475 msrp? how long is the wait to get to my local dealer?
European Delivery isn't in the cards this time around as I won't have time due to starting a new business
Every new car I have ever bought has been something I just picked up off the dealer floor that was already sitting there.

Sorry for the stupid questions.

No one knows about changes for MY2012 yet, but they're expected to be minimal. And any updates changes won't be announced until Aug/Sept, and the first 2012s won't be ready until Oct-Nov.

So, if you don't mind waiting until almost the end of the year to get your car, you can wait to see what (minor) changes will be announced in Aug/Sept and go from there. Otherwise just order a 2011 right now.

You don't have to pay MSRP, you just have to work it out with your dealer.

New F32 "turbo" M3 probably won't hit the US until 2015.

This is exactally what I wanted to know. I don't want to spend 75grand then in 6 months find out, shit, the new m3 is what I should have gone for. I can't wait that long so I'll probally go with a 2011 and in 2015 maby get the new turbo

If I ordered tomorrow when would it get to the dealer? Also it would have 0 miles correct? I don't want anyone driving my sports car, espically during break-in

Depends if a dealer can steal an allocation for you. I think it could potentially be as little as two weeks. It might have like 1 or 2 miles on it when you get it.

It won't have zero miles as they do need to test in the factory and load it on to the ship etc. etc. etc...I have always gotten cars I ordered with less than ~10 miles though.

I've had way to many cars and motorcycles to name, at least 20. I've never had anything that had more than 5 miles on it and most have less than 1.

First time I've ever ORDERED one vs just picking one up off the dealer showroom.

I do not want an m3 driven by the delivery kid from another dealer or what have you and launched/beat on.

* I'm also aware of cars being dynoed/tested at the factory, it doesn't show on odo however. They flash it after I assume because I deffinately have cars/bikes that I know are dynoed and bought bone dry with 0.0

Nobody really knows what's up with 2012.
It might be a short production, or they just simply might
not to make it at all.
2011 has already been extended as far as I know.
Plus the earliest you will be able to get one will be late Oct.
That's the whole summer of fun wasted

Well, if I can't get exactally what I want at least there are a lot of extremely nice used cars in the 70-80k range.

one of the local dealers to me said that 2012 E92 M3 production run is from Sept 2011 through June 2012. Then its over and done with...no MY 2013.
Take this info for what its worth knowing where I heard it from...

So called "Turbo" M3 won't be out until fall of 2014 as MY'2015. I am not sure where people are getting the news about 2013 as only the 3 series sedan will be launched followed by 3 series coupe in 2014 and so on.

I'd say wait for the 2012 if you're not in a huge hurry. It's the same car as a 2011, but should be the final year for E92M and far less common than the 2011's. The extra "uber factor" couldn't hurt the resale value, and wait will make the car seem extra special and worth the hassle. (At least that's how things tend to work in my brain...the easy/quick solution = never as satisfying)
