This is also probably why smarter people have more interesting stories. That article needs to be changed to "Intelligent people have more interesting drunk tales".

So intelligent people apparently aren't smart enough to consider the hazards of drinking regarding the negative effects of it on the human body? Makes total sense. I guess less intelligent people are just too stupid to drink as much as the smarter smart people.

I suspect that this is a contributing factor. I also think that sometimes smart people need their brain to STFU every now and again. Booze does that nicely.
