Since it was at McShitBurgers, it was probably a good thing they could not feed anyone.

"McCrapBurger" was also considered as a possibility but I felt it did not convey my true feelings

I'm gonna assume you don't watch the news much.... The two major airports in NY were shut down from sunday morning until pretty much tuesday morning. The day after christmas is one of the busiest travel days all year. These two airports are in the top 10 busiest airports in the country. The snow was so bad they couldn't deliver any food or supplies to the airport until today. The people staying at the airport since sunday morning had managed to clean the entire airport out of food and McDonalds was one of the last remaining places with supplies. These people were forced to starve.

I read the Business/Market section on AP news, CNN Money, and Fox on my iPhone apps. Along with local news and weather forecasts. Since I don't live in the east coast nor have any family or good friends over there, I don't tend to read news relating to that sector (along with World news that doesn't relate to Business in some way). Though I do read news about the Middle East; and of course about the economic situation in Europe etc I did see headlines about snow and pictures of it, but I did not read the articles themselves. I tend to focus only on what relates to my life and business, and what I can use to profit from the market (business section) and plan my week (local news) Thank you for informing me NYC

One thing though....Airplanes always have enough food for their passengers... and well, the planes couldn't fly. Couldn't they use that food? Or they did and I just don't know about it.

Airlines would charge "passengers" 15 bucks for half of cold sandwich, or the cost of buy on board...

lol don't worry persian people on the east coast are convinced the rest of the country is obsessed with what's going on there and that they are the center of everything when for the most part we don't really care that they are experiencing some heavy snow and are understandably struggling with it in certain infrastructural facets
And FWIW I don't believe airplanes carry enough food to feed every passenger...most flights carry those little snack packs (no Billy Madison) and there is probably a simple equation the airlines do to ascertain how many each flight will carry based on the percentage of people who buy them and the total number of passengers |
