Dunlop Wintersports on e90 18" rims?
Is it possible to get a set of wintersports (3d, m3, m2?!) on the BMW M3? I know the fronts are a direct fit, but what can we do about the rears? I dont see oem sizes, and I'm not sure if I can squeeze any of the wintersports on the rear.
What do all the Wintersport fans do? Is the only option to buy aftermarket rims? |

the M3's come in 255-40-18's...which is fine for the rear.

I talked to the guy at tirerack and he said I couldnt do the 255-40-18 on the rear.
I'm NOT a blizzak fan. Awful tire for a sports car, imo. |

There are multiple guys at tire rack. I am usually the one that people talk to because I work extensively with the M3's due to my involvement with the forum.
I defintely have recommended the 255/40R18 for the winter. Typically that would be the rear size in a staggered setup.

The LM series (usually the LM25 at present) are high performance winter tires. They are H or V speed rated and offer respectable handling for a winter tire. There are sportier tires in this category like the Pirelli's for example, but they give up a little of their bite in the snow for better handling. I have seen very few "bad" winter tires, but there are definitely differences that can make them a better or worse choice for a given driver.
