So I'm flipping through the channels.....

and I come to Casino Royale. At it's right at the scene when he get to the Bahamas and is cruising down the coast in the super sexy Ford Mondeo. And the thought crept in to my mind again....

WTF IS FORD THINKING NOT BRINGING THAT CAR TO THE U.S.!!!! THEY ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS AND DESERVE TO CRASH INTO RUINS FOR MAKING SUCH BONE HEAD MISTAKES!!!

I could say with some confidence that nearly all of us would give the car a look if offered here. It looks great, who knows how it drives though. But it would be a great 2nd car or something.

STUPID FORD Alan Mulally needs kicked in the nuts.

Ford=dumb. The Euro and Aussie cars are sick, but they're too dumb to bring them here.

At least Pontiac has some brain cells left.

I think the main reason could be how to market the car. They can't exactly market it as a brand new model because it's been out in Europe for a long time. If they were to bring the Mondeo here and say "Oh here's a car that we've been selling in Europe. People over there seem to love it so now we're offering it to the American people", it's going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. IMO it's better to keep the car over there (at least for now) because what the majority of drivers don't know can't hurt them.

I don't think the general consumers are that emotional about cars, they did that with the Pontiac GTO (Holden Monaro in Australia) and it worked out ok.

Top Gear raves about the Ford S-Max (minivan) and Ford Mondeo. Jeremy Clarkson's quote was something like "makes you wonder why people would buy any other car".
