Must be a lot of fun,but i would get out of my mind with this guy (instructor) next to you,all this instructions (the non stop talking) how could you still get concentrated to the lines of the track ?(brainwash while driving ! )
And damn man.....no visible rpm's in the display !
And is the 458 that big difference in power and handling compared to our ///M3 ?

Cool video. I know exactly where that track is. It looks fun from the freeway!

Very smooth driving, too, at least to my novice eyes.

power/handling there is of course no comparison...but the engine characteristics are similar to the s65 and i love this about our engine.

if you watch though, the car does understeer a bit....dont know if thats just how they have it set up....with traction control on you can't just rotate it neither.

besides the non stop talking, when i looked at the rear view i just saw a big black mirror housing since the mirrors are set to the instructor's view

i think i just converted to MDCT though after driving this and having that much fun.

Weird. When I drove, it was the opposite. No understeer, and I rotated the 458 a couple times on my last lap. Awesome feeling when you get it right. Glad you had fun!

Looks like fun. I've been meaning to try this group. Is the video something that comes with the package or did you do that yourself?

I'm pretty sure the instructor constantly talking is because not everyone has a clue, and they can't rely on anyone to give a true assessment of their abilities b/c of egos. I'm so good that I don't have an ego, of course.

I've tried constant talking as an instructor but instead of telling you what to do I tell you where to look. Had this done to me as a student and my speed went up like crazy. Really reinforces what looking ahead can do for you.

Looks fun, but that instructor would have driven me insane. You should have shown him some of your YouTube vids first and told him to just hold on. I know he is used to people that have tracked anything, but he should have figured out you had a clue when you started using the rumble strips.

I suppose it would have really irritated him if you sneakily moved the traction control setting to 'race'. That would be epic to have someone do that and then proceed to rip off some screaming fast laps complete with trail braking (especially into that tight right hander at the end) and set a nice four wheel drift in turn 2? at the end of the fastest straight.

Nice! How predictable/manageable is the 458 with all the nannies off? What a car!

Yea it's an awesome car. It's still very predictable. Slides around easier but manageable. CST off is a different story

Congrats on the drive. My head was spinning just listening to the 'passenger' though. If you know how to drive, he's too much, if you don't he's too much too. A total rookie would go mental listening to him and driving a car like that...
