A few questions on the M3

Hi guys, I have a few questions - the first concerning the M3 GTS and the second one concerning the M Performance 3-series.

1. Is the M3 GTS made 100% by BMW (stock) or is there a special company that does mods to the stock M3's?
2. What engine is in the M Performance 3-series? Also, is it diesel or petrol?

Thank you everyone!!

1. mostly yes, but you have to understand how cars are manufactured. BMW doesn't make most parts. They're sourced from auto suppliers, designed for the car, and assembled by BMW. That said, the go-fast parts are mostly engineered in house and manufactured by a supplier. Likely the springs, shocks, and the brakes may have been outside suppliers or partnerships, branded as BMW parts.

2. you're all over the place there. The M perf. package is likely offered on all type of 3-series cars...I think all that's added are some bodywork, steering wheel, suspension parts, and brakes.
