Update? if you are getting the overfill warning still after day or 2 driving then for sure drain some out.

Turkey baster the oil filter is a good alternative, but for simplicity and to get it done more quickly, i probably will drain the front oil bolt (lets out around 1/2L - 1.5L of oil [don't actually know the amount, but it is very minimal]). Collect those oil to top off if you want to or top off with fresh oil once the computerized dip stick tells you where your oil level is at. Cheers!

Draining the front sump would be my choice....removing the filter cap is a lot messier.

Happened to me as well... The d@mn mechanics couldnt get the level right and kept showing overfill after i took it into them twice...
Just get a car ramp. Drive front wheels onto ramp so front end is elevated. Crawl underneath. Drain about a litre/litre and a half of oil. Rescrew the plug. Turn engine on. Reset BC. Wait.. Then refill oil about half a quartz at a time. Turn engine on and check again...

Kind of hard to measure just a liter from the main sump, lol. Dump the front oil sump into a clean container as it's much smaller (about a liter, actually ) than the back sump. Go from there.
