...and she said

We need to keep the car for one night.....

So I am @ the Dealer here and it appears that this CEL is a common and related to the Throttle Valve Actuator. Since the part is not in stock I am going home heart broken...

this is 1st time I am going home without her since I got her 81 days ago..

As i hit post.. I leave the dealership.. sigh...

you mean the motor that opens the throttle valves? it's ok. it'll be fixed and be as good as new Just be glad it happened when warranty is still valid.

yeah warranty rocks... I'm not entirely sure if its the motor that opens the valves or if its a sensor or if this is that tube that greases up with oil that folks talk about; I had scanned it with Rev2 using the Kiwi Wifi OBD2 Scan tool; it came up with this..

on a brighter side. ... they also mentioned I am entitled to one oil/lube/airFilter service for free; which i declined ATM. I have Liqui Moly in there right now; didnt want to waste those 8 Quartz...i had recently added...

Rough Idle - meaning more vibrations (shuddering like) or just louder raspier sounds from the engine...

btw that flywheel rattle is still hanging around; guess this one will never go away for me... I had it in the 335i .. it got louder when i changed it to a LWFW and now this M3 does it...

What I am complaining about.. i miss her so much... on top of that; I had to cancel my suspension appt for tomorrow. I got RD Sport Springs and was itching to get that omgIjustSawthatdropandaBabySeatinthatguysM3 stance.

you don't appreciate what u got till its gone...

Well despite the good and the bad reviews of Bimmersport on MaxBimmer and over here; I have no personal experience with them; but I see other peeps trust them with their M vehicles so im gonna give them a shot @ it..

Should I be weary of Jon/Charlie...?

Jon and Charly are good people and they do good work. I use them all the time and have had zero issues with them. I know there have been some complaints in the past, but I think at least some of these were from big one-off projects that went sideways for various reasons and blame was unclear. Can't speak about that - only my personal experience, which has been quite positive.

Don't worry about it. My car has only 3500km on it, of which was mainly Fall driving. It's now sitting at a bodyshop after getting rear-ended and has been there for 29 days, with another 10 days expected due to ordering the wrong part.

So, it could be worse!

man.. i am disappointed to hear..but I am going to take no sympathy from that; its terrible to have your car taken so long from you especially when u have hardly used it... . I hope you get your car soon.

Silly me; I tried to go to bed early last night.. but I couldn't sleep thinking what if they need it one more day; so I work up extra early this morning.. even now I am so desperate to call the service advisor as say "is it ready?"... u know it true what the say about Man and Machine... "The machine does not isolate man from the great problems of nature but plunges him more deeply into them"

on the flip side, I got my custom license plates today.. if i get her back i will post the plate...also got a tow hitch license plate;

Cause I know Castrol TWS 10w60 is the only kind of oil we should use for the M engine.

When you can't sleep and wake up extra early in the morning because of the M, that's when you know you are a true fanatic. Hope you get your ride back soon!

i saw that even embossed into the oil cap. I read somwhere that one dealer even refused to warranty when he heard that another brand of oil was used; especially with no receipt to prove that compatible oil was used.

IMO, you cant go wrong with German Oil; but dont go telling your dealer that or you need a scientist to prove you ain muckin around..
