Hey Guys,
As some of you know I moved recently to San Francisco with work from London and had to sell my beloved M3 before I left. Well, I have been here for almost a couple of months and finally got myself hooked up with my new ride. Here she is. Fully loaded isn't even the word.....

- 2012 M3 Coupe- Mineral White
- Competition pack
- DCT Gearbox
- EDC
- Integrated universal remote control
- Comfort access package
- Light Package
- Teleservices
- BMW apps
- Individual Audio
- Satellite radio
- Light package
- Premium package 2
+ things I didn't even know you could get...

Finding and buying the M3 was an interesting experience here in the US. First of all, there are lots of modded ones, hardly any manuals (my last one was a manual), price wise cars are on-par if not slightly more expensive than equivalents in the UK (because of exchange rates, sales taxes etc)
So, I finally came across one I liked at a BMW dealership in LA and had the car transported to me here in San Fran. I totally love it. The mineral white, is a fantastic colour. I had an alpine white before which i also loved but its amazing how different the two shades are. I don't necessarily have a favourite right now but I am definitely not regretting the choice.
Secondly, the DCT gearbox is pretty epic, which I know isn't new news. It is a little clunky when driving slowly but get up to pace and the shift speeds are mind-boggling.
As far as modding goes the first thing I did was order some painted side reflectors to replace the awful orange reflectors you get here as standard in the US. I had the dealership fit the BMW performance spoiler as I personally love the look it gives. I have also got some black kidney grills and uprated angel eyes that I will fit and arriving soon from the UK a vorsteiner front and rear diffuser that I had on my last M3 as well as my Eisenmann Race exhaust!
Anyway enough of the talking here is some early pics for you guys

I'm sure a shop could fill the hole in with something, smooth it out, and paint it.
Or
Buy a Euro bumper from IND? (Don't remember if they're the ones who sell them.)

khan saab,

i would leave it in, as in cali you can get a ticket for not having your front plate. i know that many forum members do not have front plate, but then you do run the risk of additional hassle from our friends in law enforcement.

congrats on the car!

Since you live in the city, you're going to get fix it tickets galore for not having front plates. I know way too many people who have gotten their fare share. So, I would keep it.

Welcome to the Bay Area.
