Some Battery Monitoring Info
Maybe this has been covered before but I found this article on monitoring the state of charge of batteries and it seems to be a tough thing to accurately do. It's quite interesting as it mentions stop/restart and also how car companies try to monitor the battery in our cars. It may be "a propos" given the number of posts about battery problems with BMWs.
