F82 M4 JB4 vs E92 M3 1/4 Mile
Went to a drag strip the other day and ran into a new F82 M4
I know the M4 is fast, but once I heard he had a JB4 beta I knew I was in for a beating lol Off the line the m4 is a little slow, but when he got into 3rd, all I saw was taillights. The second run, he took off his tune to see what he would run stock. At this time the temperatures cooled down from earlier. We ran again and the M4 spun through first and second, but still ended up catching me at the end. I got the faster time, but you have to look at the trap speed. 121 Mph is no joke |

You are equally quick to half track and then start falling a few tenths behind by the 1/4. But by half track, he is going 7 mph faster, which is huge. Walking away. No contest in a highway pull, assuming both cars are in the right gear.

There are cars that only make 500 crank hp that trap over 121 let alone 500 wheel. |

I meant the e92 ... But I think it has a lot to do with the 6 speed I know the e9X were hard to get under 13s

I thought a stock E92 M3 trapped around 110. Seems like this car is trapping the same speed. Obviously every track and condition is different but you'd think it'd be trapping higher?

Can't argue with that. Also can't argue with the M4 performance.
I know what I am about to say is going to sound crazy to some, but, the e9x M3 is fast enough for my taste. Lighter would be better for improved handling and driving dynamics, but BMW should have just made some evolutionary changes to the S65 or just put the GTS engine into the lighter(should have shaved slightly more weight than they actually did) F car and call it a day. I know I'm beating a
