What are you waiting for? Sell the car to them, you can always buy another cpo with more warranty.

Problem I have with buyback vs replacement is that car prices have actually increased during the summer. So assuming I am going back to a 335i, my best bet is to ask for replacement.

it would actually benefit you by waiting until the fall anyway and you might be able to prolong the buyback process to last until august since its near the end of july anyways.

production of the new 3 will start in the fall and price might fall some due to people waiting on that.

Maybe you mean (price/120000)*(120000-miles)?
Yes, simpler formula is: price - (price*miles/120000), where the second part is the mileage offset.

This is a good strategy, thanks.

Of course. What I meant is they will help come to a viable solution without lemoning the vehicle. Negotiate solutions on fixing the vehicle.

And no of course they won't dish out a 6er. Probably the bare minimum of a 3er.

So, still no answer as to what the problem may be? I have the same loud exhaust issue. Granted, I like the sound, but I keep wondering if something is wrong. I, too, have asked for it to get looked at only to be told the car is fine.
How/where did you do a sound test? What are the db levels supposed to be?

Thanks.

TX here is an example

You buy a car for 65K (do not include sales tax or anything else)
You have 13,000 miles on the car

65000 X 13000 = 845000000

845000000 / 120,000 = 7041.66

In this example it would cost you $7041.66 of usage on the $65,000 car with 13,000 miles
They would refund you all the money you paid including taxes and intrest and you would pay $7041.66

If you had 6000 miles it would cost you $3250

Guys off topic but curioua to know

If I had my car in 3 times for them to get a break squeel noise out of the car and they still havent been able to after replacing the sensors and now I have to go back again could this be enough for a lemon buyback? I mean if the breaks fail that would be dangeeous lol. But seriously though. Oh and I also had to get my hpfp replaced too. They also said my check engine light came on upon drop off on the third visit.

Thanks for bringing this up, glad I'm not the only one with this issue.

I don't have professional equipment, so I only ever referenced relative numbers. Try Sound Meter on Android.

I don't want to publish raw numbers in case they are not completely accurate, PM me if you are interested. Using the same setup, my car measures consistently 10db higher in the cabin and at the exhaust than my friends' 335i, and 5db higher than another friends' M3.
