Cops in Vegas

Is it just me, or have the cops in Vegas been out in force recently? I work near Sahara and Durango and yesterday I saw 3 cars pulled over in a 1 block stretch. It seems like their trying to balance the budget by writing tickets! I wanna open her up sometimes on the 215 but even there the cops are rolling everywhere. Vegas folks chime in.

Agreed that law-enforcement is very visible around Vegas. Perhaps their objective is to tax the significant pool of motorists from out of town or to promote the image of "new Vegas" as a family-safe destination.

They do have those fancy new cruisers with the eye-catching LED light bars...so there's that. Maybe they need to subsidize those purchases.

And I just read on the internet that Nevada is the # 1 state for issuing tickets! Its not my imagination. 95 North to Reno can be pretty desolate for speed runs though.

YES!!! I've had plenty of fast cars and drive them that way... I've been in Vegas 10 years and have never been cited/ caught..

Never been ticketed in my E46 M...


BUT, I've received 3 tickets this year!

First ticket. Exhibition of Power: Aggressive Driving; Failure to maintain lane. I was drifting doing figure 8s in what I thought was private property, boy was I wrong, FML

Second ticket. I was getting onto the 215 east bound from jones, and I pulled through 3rd, threw it into 4, got her up to 135 then costed in netural to the i15 South interchange, NHP pulled me over on the 15 saying he clocked me going 80.

Third ticket. I was allegedly stopped for speeding 50 in a 35 and was cited for reckless driving..

Now, with all due respect, I am not promoting or bragging about speeding or getting tickets.. I like to consider myself a safe driver and reserve my thrill of driving to the Tracks Willow Springs in particular ...

But for the third ticket, I WAS NOT EVEN SPEEDING!!! I pulled out of my neighborhood , Engine STILL COLD!! Driving Slow.... and you know that feeling you get, that awesome excitement/ thrill when you get on it.. I surely did not have that feeling when I was actually stop 2 lights away from my house...

are they really trying to change their image to that?? man, what a mistake - they can call up the city of Ft. Lauderdale to see how that's worked out for them

The last few times I have been down there I have seen plenty of cops too, but it seems everybody still speeds along.
