Dilemma - To ZCP or not ZCP?

I am doing ED of my E92 in Dec. I have everything all set but I left out the competition package, did I make a mistake and should I change my order? I'm just having second thoughts about not adding it. I will upgrade the factory 18" wheels as soon as I get home. I doubt I will lower the car as I want to keep it under warrenty so the main advantage of ZCP would be the factory lowered springs. Just looking for some quick advice.

You don't have the full info, even though you can add ZCP wheels and springs on as an aftermarket, ZCP also also adds a different EDC setting which you cannot do. All this adds up to a more refined track oriented performance for the M3.
Is it worth the price, I don't know, given the option I would get it and opt out of the moonroof and even the Navi instead.

what will you be upgrading your 18" wheels 2? OEM 19" wheels or something aftermarket....ZCP only sits 10mm/1cm lower than non zcp with edc, so it's not THAT much lower if you get zcp...

for most (including me) I wanted 19" wheels and edc, so another $250 for ZCP was a no brainer IMO...

You should get ZCP for sure! Lowered, wider track, remapped EDC, bigger wheels... very good deal for the money and makes the car very special... as others suggested, opt out of sunroof and other stuff, get ZCP with CF roof,- looks amazing and concludes performance package

I swear, I can feel the difference of EDC being remapped!

I'm jealous of how cheap ZCP is for you guys. To me, if you like the wheels as much (or more) as the 220's then it is a no brainer for the more advanced EDC programming at a very marginal premium.

Do it! I promised myself I wouldn't get aftermarket rims and just powdercoat my zcp rims. Can't really tell its lower, but handling is godly

ZCP for sure.. The revised EDC dampers feels much better than the non ZCP edc.

Did you order your car with EDC? If not, and you have no desire for it, then you probably don't want ZCP because it will add EDC.

Now, if you are already getting EDC, you might as well get ZCP. Even if you plan to change to different wheels, you should be able to get about an extra $1k for the 19" 359M wheels vs. what you could get for the 18" 219M wheels. This will cover much of the additional amount you spent to get ZCP vs. only getting EDC. So you end up spending very little more for the lowered car and more aggressive programming for EDC Sport+ mode and MDM DSC mode.

I just ordered my car WITHOUT ZCP. My main reason behind this is that I like the 220 wheels better. I really dont see the hype about ZCP. I think it is a cool option if you like those wheels better but IMO its not a deal breaker. For me, I am still getting EDC and the upgraded wheels. By the time you put those two cost together it is only a few hundred dollars short of the ZCP package. So, to me it all comes down to which wheels do you want? If I could have got ZCP with the 220 wheels then I would have check that box but since I couldn't, I opted out of ZCP.

Are you still planing on getting EDC?

That's a bit of an illogical reason to not buy ZCP, IMHO. The reason is that the wheels can easily be changed to 220M or any other wheel you want. The only real compelling reason not to get ZCP is if you do not want EDC.

You can trade wheels easily via this forum. Plenty of people out there would trade you 220M for 359M.

I ordered without. I drove an edc car, a zcp car and standard car back to back and thought the differences were minute. I did not want 19s so for me it came down to edc or not. In the end I didn't get it. I'm still on the fence on zcp (even though I can't change my order) but I figure for the street it makes no difference, probably even better without and if I end up tracking this car a lot I will end up with am coilovers and 18 track wheels anyway.

I went through the same analysis when I bought my M3. In the end I decided ZCP was a must have - its worth it for the 10mm drop and remapped Sport Mode remapping. You can swap out the wheels but you cannot easily swap out the suspension and electronics.
