I don't know and I don't know if it would even be possible but I think you would be MUCH better off just selling your car and buying a new DCT than trying to retrofit everything that would be required to make this work.

Why don't you simply sell your car and buy a new DCT car if that's what you want? Trying to swap transmission does not make any sense...There is no way you'll do that for $5000. No way. You'd spend $20000 at the very least--if you can find a dealer/shop who be interested in doing it to begin with...

Like everyone has stated before, it will probably be a heck of a lot cheaper and a much better idea to just sell your 6MT and buy a new or slightly used DCT M3. There is no way a local BMW shop or any other shop will have as high quality work as what the car comes from the factory. Does this not make any sense to you?

Boo hoo hoo, should have test driven them both.
Too bad, pony up the cash and get a new car. Send a few barrels of oil this way while you are at it. |

Yep, buy a new one or get used to 6MT. I think 6 MT is more fun. But to each his own!

Looks like everyone scared away the OP and perhaps sent him into hiding.
