New m3 coupe and ESS VT 625

I am going to pickup my new silverstone M3 manual on friday, and have already ordered a VT 625 kit and RPI X-pipes I will install it in a couple of weeks.
I will sell my stage 3 tuned DCT 335 in a couple of months.
I do have some qustions.
Is the stock clutch good enough?
Will there be a lot of traction issues?
I will probably change brakes and coilovers..any recomendations?
Any advice would bee welcome

Hopefully the car will be ready until the next M5boardevent in june.

W/ respect - why don't you just enjoy the car stock @ first before you put a blower on it?

Stock clutch - cannot comment
Traction - there are already problems with no added power...
Brakes - AP/Brembo/Stoptech/Alcon/etc all good
Coils - heard good things about KW V3s, Motons as well but require a bit more enthusiast attitude

Is the stock clutch good enough? - It should be
Will there be a lot of traction issues? - Yes, I highly recommend 305 rears or even 315 because of your added power.
I will probably change brakes and coilovers..any recomendations? KWV3, Moton, and Ohlin, are all good candidates for coilovers. As for brakes: Brembo/AP Racing/StopTech

With 265's in the rear, I'd say there are serious traction issues in stock form.

I'd put on minimum 295's in the rear if you're going SC.

Perhaps i have to change to wider rear tires,i have a set of 275/35 18 on Volk RE 30 wheels

Ye i know , people call me crazy all the time, i am actually starting to believe it myself
But the 335 i have is actually faster than a M3 and i just cant have a car who is slower .
And my colleges drives m6, GTR and similar cars, but mine will be the fastest one

You go boy!!!

When you say VT625 kit??? You mean VT 2 600?

This is a 6 psi kit and yes your stock clutch will be 100%. They run a 7psi race car and the clutch has held out pretty fine for 40k miles.

I would definitely go a 295 rear section tyre. Rims should be a 10,5J rear and a 9 J front with 255 section tyres. This is what I have and traction is still challenging, however pretty good considering the HP the ESS kit is putting down.

I have KWV3s and Brembos stability is unbelievable and stopping power 100% matched for the cars extra power.

Go Big or go home

check out these threads and you will see the traction with 295s dry roads and temps of 26 Deg C

No-no, Bob!!! He is right and this what I found today here www.esstuning.com

New software is released I really do not understand Roman and Hans telling me 20 days ago that 6.5 psi is the maximum and no more fore stock engine and DCT... I've been upgraded to VT2-600 (wait for this for 20days due to volcano...) 3 weeks ago, and now this thing in place... I am crying... On Sunday I have in Moscow big-big event (Unlime 500+ - Standing Mile) and this is what I really need...

Would call Roman for details and pricing once he gets up)))

I just saw that now.

Its new software for over 7,5psi boost. Previous software is good for psi up to 7psi so is same for 535,575 and 600 kits.
You probably have bigger fuel injectors in the 7,5psi kit to to cope with extra fueling requrements.
Obviously they are satisfied with the testing of the higher boost kit in the Bildeler car hence release to public.

You just make higher boost by running a smaller pulley and belt, that's all
in any event, I have DCT so I cant run boost higher than 6psi, unless I fly ESS out to me for 7000US to flash DCT software

anyway now you really need brakes and coilovers

For standing mile events (and ONLY standing mile events), I'm pushing quite a bit more than 615whp and still the stock clutch has been fine. I will be changing the clutch soon to carbon-carbon, but so far the stock clutch has been just fine.

Is it possible to adjust the boost manual, or change maps?

The new VT2-625 kit just recently cleared testing and has been made available on our website. This new kit requires 93+ octane fuel and a catless / high flow exhaust system. This kit runs higher capacity custom built injectors and software which are different than what is currently used in the VT2-575 / 600 kits. For DCT equipped cars we recommend running our DCT software with the VT2-625.
