Jay-Z Raps About M3 in New Album

I don't listen to much rap, but a friend of mine was listening to the new album that was just released and in the song titled 'BBC', Jay-Z mentions a cherry M3.

Just think it's awesome how much love the M3 gets

Jay also raps about "cherry M3s with the top back" on "Blue Magic" from American Gangster.

Of course the most famous M3 rap reference, to which Jay is paying homage, is Biggie in "Hypnotize": "Dare I squeeze three at your cherry M3?"

M3/M5 has always had this stigma, more so than ever with the later models especially the E9X

I'm 23 and can't believe how many times i've pulled up in my car to people assuming i shot drugs to afford this level a car (Maybe its the AW with Matte Black combo?). Most kids here my age struggle to buy and run/insure a 1.0L Polo....

I'm blessed with my own business so thankfully i'm actually not involved in anything like that.

I find it absolutely hilarious that people in this thread would go as far as to say they should sell the car because a rapper mentioned it in a song. I'm in my mid-twenties and African American, so I'm sure people get thoughts in their head about what I've done to afford this car and that would never stop me from enjoying it as much as I have. Sorry for the brief rant, but c'mon people.

I think I understand what you are trying to say, but urban culture would be the incorrect reference. Gang bang or drug/pimp culture would be better. Also any expensive car is going to have their share of criminals/losers/punks/etc... driving them. Just because someone wears a suit to work and has the right image doesn't mean they have class and aren't a POS scumbag (see Bernie Madoff).

Owning a M3, at best, proves I have good taste in cars.
