a few? how about all major US mags, RT, CD, MT, AW.....

The MB is VERY fast - but not MT ruins it for me. plus its more cruiser than track machine. Its also got tooooo much bling goin on.

c63 got impressive nos., after a good chat with mike at Euromotors Bethesda Md, a $65k it has impressive nos... ex.443 lbs of tque, w/ a Slip Differential option available to even put more on the road..

Im nervous about this one guys... very nervous
specs sheets show it will deliver 343 of it torque pretty much at any rpms. can it be real!

The M3 still excite me, but it just annoying that what comes with the car is the rigthful pompousness automatically assigned to the gearhead that drives one. And how do I know, seem like every M3 driver I meet on the road is automatically a brother that grins to suggest "You wanna do it?

Thanks for you iImpressive c63 notes btw wonder how it would fare on the race track, mano-o-mano ?

Next target research, the C63! Onward we Go!

Yes the C63 is impressive, it will never be a track star like the M3. But it is a BEAST!

Wait until the 2009 C63's hit the market. They will have the optional performance package.

The performance pack will include:

- LSD
- Carbon brakes
- 15-20% stiffer suspension
- raised limiter to 186mph
- alcantara interior trim

The suspension is already stiff as shit, all the reviewers hate it. What's the point of making it stiffer? So the DSC kicks in even more?

The whole package will most likely be around $8,500. That is the cost of the PP on the E63.

not bad - but the car should come with lim slip standard. good thing is the rotors should last 100,000 miles.

Also should help to shed some pounds to get closer to the M3 weight.

It won't ever be as composed as a M3, but a really fun/fast car.

I took the IS F on a track closed course, against the M3, and the Audi R5. The IS F shifts alot better than SMG, it actually inpressed me. But driving the IS F hard was hard, the M3 was super easy to dial in and out of turns. The Audi kicks torque after every shift but thats it. The M3 out does them all in my opinion.

for I just read C&Ds review, maybe the same one you read. Well here it is verbatum

"What really killed the Benz's chances of upsetting the M3, however, was its harsh ride. At low speeds, the suspension seems overly damped; the C63 dutifully tracks every lump in the pavement to the detriment of the jostled occupants. As the speeds rise, on back-road two-lanes, for example, the problem disappears and the Benz feels extremely capable and secure. But at even higher speeds, on unlimited sections of autobahn, the bucking behavior is back. It never caused the C63 to feel unstable but was nevertheless clearly the worst of the three cars."

Exactly

Almost every single comparo has the M3 winning.

Only one comparo doesn't, where the C63 won.

Each comparo I have read has the IS-F in LAST PLACE. Even behind the aging RS4.

Correct the IS-F was 4.4 seconds slower a lap than the M3 sedan on the Motor Trend test tract.
