I posted this in another thread. The S65 makes such an amazing sound. The thing though, is from the inside of the car, it doesn't sound all that ridiculous because it's so well insulated. But from the outside, that's a completely different story. I had my friend drive my car while I followed in another one and was amazed.

Note the E46 M3 at the end being completely outmatched

P.S. I can't recommend catless Eisenmann Race enough, absolutely love my setup (although it's not quite as raspy as in this video).

Aside that, I hear he's looking for a new home. So, if anybody or any shop wants to sponsor or hire him...

But, I digress. Sorry for going off on a tangent on this thread.

I dunno, it says catted/catless in the title so I don't really know what that means. But if I had to guess, that's a full race x-pipe with no resonators. I've got ACM test pipes, secondary cat delete but have the 2 stock resonators still in and it's less raspy and not as loud as that (as far as I can tell haha).

P.S. I want a V10 so bad. Those cars are coming down in price. Both these V8s and V10s are masterpieces though!

+1 on both.

A few years later, I foresee a V10 S85 in my 2013 E92 M3 instead of S/C...

W///...
Car sounds very loud, but with good sound quality and 4 sure with Eisenmann Race .
But...........OP video is for about 70 % intake sound !
How more i drive my car now,how more i realy miss my intake sound !
Why ?....How ...?
Well i have only the Oem. exhaust mod. replaced the 2 large perf. pipes and done by myself and realy love it,but inside the car the exhaust sound is now louder than the intake sound !
Conclusion...
Every after market exhaust and even the Oem. exhaust mod. kills the mighty intake sound of our S65 engine inside the car.
Before my Oem. exhaust mod. at low rpm's and than step on it the growl of the intake sound was actualy the sound of power !
Now the exhaust sound is louder...stronger, and if i could have a choise again....
One day the intake sound without any exhaust mod. pure Oem.!
And the second day my Oem. exhaust mod.
And i think my observation is maybe right because BMW has made our exhaust silent with a mission......"hear the mighty intake sound of the S65" !
Please feel free to correct me.......

The intake sound might be nice, but I prefer the exhaust, just personal preference (assuming you have the right combination). When I'm heading towards 8600RPM, I don't think to myself man, I'd prefer more intake noise than this sound. Keep in mind though, I had ACM TP + OEM exhaust mod and it didn't sound that great all. Tons of noise, not much quality IMHO. But catless Eisenmann Race sounds like an exotic car! But it's also pretty quiet under 3000 rpm, it's an excellent compromise

I had more than one person ask if the exhaust was stock back before I got the MPE. Pretty damn loud at wot outside the car especially when you consider there's no flappy nonsense going on

Now with the MPE nobody mistakes it for a factory exhaust, lol
