Anybody have an Olde English Bulldogge?

I'm thinking that this might be my next breed of dog. I've heard that they have none of the bad health risks that regular English bulldogs have. Anybody know alot about this breed?

I'm specifically asking about the olde English type. I don't want the regular english bulldog.

Nope... Went for the French Bulldog here, and honestly I have to say that I've had 4 dogs before her, and have never been so attached to a dog. More character and personality than any other dog we've ever had.

Can't comment on the OE's, but if you're concerned with health issues, the Frenchies are perfect...

Careful with that, my sister has a "purebred" French bulldog and it's been a trainwreck of health issues. Cute dog, but I'd guess that someone looking for an Old English wouldn't be the same person to consider a French, but I could be wrong.

No I would never consider a French. OE bulldogs have little or none of the genetic problems as purebred dogs. Google them. I have made up my mind that they will be my nexy dog.

For sure... I should have qualified that it has a LOT to do with the breeding. We knew the bloodline back +25 years, and ended up with a decent dog. And you're surely right that anyone looking for an OE wouldn't likely want a Frenchie...

I have an Olde English Bulldogge, she is 2 1/2 years old now. I was looking for an english bulldog too, and found out about some of the health problems too. I have to say my OEB is as healthy as can be. Everywhere I go I get compliments about the breed. She has a great temperament, and is good with children of all ages.

Let me know if you have any more questions or want to see some more pictures, I have plenty.

Great pics and it will be my next dog. How hard was she to train?

She really wasnt that hard to train but just like all bulldogs she is alittle stubborn. And I have to say im not the best dog trainer, so she does occasionally chew on some shoes when shes not getting attention.

I would reccomend this breed to anyone, there really isnt a thing I wish she did differently.
