E93 M3 individual leather

Does anyone know, when you get Individual leather, if the rear of the front seat are all leather (w/o the hard black support on back of seats normally)?

Hell why I am at it, what about the rear headrests...is that all leather (or at least with the plastic part color matched to the individual leather) and does not include the hard head rest support?

TIA

The rear of my seats do have the hard back, but the headrests are all leather; 2011/E90/extended leather.

Thread tie is misleading, I expected IND Content...

No sure what kind of headrests you've seen but they're all leather to start whether you have a individual interior or not...

The seatbacks in my E90 are covered in Amarone leather!

As for the rear headrests, I have never seen a E93 M3 with Individual interior so I can't tell you for sure. What I can tell you is that with individual interior lots of things in the interior are done in the color of the leather rather than black, for example: The area around the cup holders and headlight switch are done in the Amarone in my car.

SchnellM3...didnt mean to mislead you, but in my 335I HT vert and 650I vert, they both had standard leather and the support for the front seats and rear headrests were hard black plastic. So I understand the headrest itself is leather i am asking about the supports. TIA.

Have you checked out the Individual 'tab' on the visualizer of the BMW AG site? The main AG site has a lot of content that the BMW NA and other country specific sites do not.

Yep.

I ordered a 2012 E93 M3 from BMW Military Sales when I was downrange, as well (I was at Bagram). I have the Individual Rust Brown interior, and I can tell you without a doubt that all of the surfaces that the standard Extended Leather covers are indeed trimmed completely in the Individual leather - with one important difference: the cupholder cutout (including the cupholders themselves) are the same color as the Individual leather. It's a much cleaner, more flowing look. I like it much better than the standard extended leather - and it's worth the price premium, in my opinion.

Good luck, and come home safe.

If you get the armrest area also in Rust Brown color (it is black even with Individual colors) it flows even better with the whole interior...

Yup. Forgot about that. My center armrest is Rust Brown, too. However, I didn't order anything special beyond (of course) the BMW "Individual Composition" package that the 2012 E93s have. Thanks for reminding me, though.

I thought from your other thread you were interested in platinum or rust brown?
  • You need to click "BMW Individual"
  • Then...Pick your upholstery color and trim
  • Then use the rotational wheel to scope the interior.

SD...yes I went to this site, but the government cuts portions of it out so the bottom tabs dont show up all the way (go figure). I have pretty much ruled out a IND color bc I can get three (Interior color, shadow, and interior trim) for the price of one (IND color). I am leaning toward that Amarone w/piano black but I get the feeling that RB will pop with the AW as well. I just want to ensure that RB is not a "light" color bc I had saddle brown in my 335I vert and that was perfect...but I am thinking RB is lighter than SB and if thats the case, I am going with the deep dark Amarone. Thx for all the help.
