SSII - Mode Carbon V2 GTS Lip - HRE R40

After debating installing a lip for the past year, I finally added a Mode Carbon V2 GTS front lip this weekend. I thought it would be best to take some pictures before I damage it. I spent 30 min trying various methods of entering and exiting my driveway in order to avoid ripping the lip off the car. I think I have it figured out but the car is now wife-proof....

Sam with Mode Carbon was great to work with! A big Thank You to him for excellent service. I'm very pleased with the end result.

I am happy with the fit of the lip. I love the lip's carbon fiber which is a good match with the rear trunk spoiler and the OEM roof (rear spoiler is technically a larger 2x2 weave but I don't have any issue with the variance). I'm sure it doesn't fit as well as the OEM GTS lip but that costs $4000 while the Mode Carbon lip is around $1000. Overall I think it's a great product and Sam was excellent to work with.

And yes I am a fan of the two-wheeled toys also! I moved to CA 1.5 years ago and started surfing so the time on my bike(s) has been reduced drastically but I still love riding.

EDIT - Lip is 1x1 weave not 2x2 as I had previously stated.

Awesome! I'm rocking the same look (SSII ) only with Black Morr vs70's. I love your front lip. I think you'll be ok, it's not too low.

Is it a 2x2 weave? I thought their V1 and V2 lips were 1x1, and the GT4 lip 2x2

Whoops you are correct; it is 1x1. I realize that there is a difference between 1x1 and 2x2 but I honestly don't notice it. I'm anal but I just don't see the need to match the weave of the carbon.

Gorgeous garage and car!

Personally, I'm still scared to pull the trigger on an expensive CF lip. I'd love to see more quality non CF parts to keep cost down. My car is not that low and I don't have anything installed and I still scrape sometimes. My plan is to buy either a used lip/splitter or find a cheaper alternative, and paint it gloss black to match diffuser (will do same with side skirt extenders)

Looks great, Slicer! I also dig the Turner bike. Looks like a single-chainring setup with a 10-speed cassette? SRAM? Why no bash ring?

Was actually going to PM you about your gloss black mirror covers.
