bravo. Good mentality. Just one advice: don't charge it your credit cards. I did that when I had the E36 M3, and it got me into alot of trouble.
Congrats on your car

32. This is my 4th BMW but first M. Super excited.

I guess the M3 has become the modern day civic with all these youngins getting one

FWIW, home owner (mortgage), 401K, 401A, IRA, 0 credit card debt, no car payment (until the M3 arrives).

you guys in your 20s, are you living on Ramen Noodles or something? how do you afford this car without financial help? Also, those of you under 30 that own an M3, do you own a home?

edit: I am 33 and will be a home owner as soon as the seller and I come to agreement on price.

I am 26 and own my home although my M3 payment will be higher than my house payment if I choose to finance the whole thing.

You "own" it or you have a mortgage.

Also, why would you want to finance the whole thing instead of saving money for a few years so you are not living your life in service to the bank you got the loan from?

The mortgage I can understand, it may be the only "debt" that makes sense if you are not planning on flipping it any time soon.

Someone did a study once that showed that people who were able to delay gratification for something they really wanted, and save for it, or wait for it, were by far much more intelligent than those that went and did whatever it was right away.

That must explain why only smart people are doctors, I had to delay a whole hell of a lot of gratification while in school...

Someone else did a study that said people who require instant gratification are all geniuses.

Of course, they were only willing to spend about 5 minutes to complete that study.

Anyway, dumb and satisfied, right over here.
