Angry Harman-Kardon speaker rattles.

It is very frustrating that $60K vehicle with Harman-Kardon Hi-Fi speakers rattles.

Driver/Passenger Side Door Speaker : Rattles at 160Hz, 250Hz.
Center Dashboard Speaker : Rattles at 230Hz
Rear Speakers : Rattles at 180Hz

The frequency may not be accurate but it is easily reproducible with Signal Generator from iPhone's Audio Tools App via AUX cable.

This rattles instantly stops when I press and hold the grill of each speakers.

BMW had this issue since 2012 F30, and they could't improve it over 2014 F32.

I may fix it for door speakers, but I am afraid of opening dashboard and rear wall.
Should I contact dealer for this? Do you think they can take care of this type of rattles?
Or should I consult with Audio shop?

Yep. Same here. Haven't quite narrowed it down to those frequencies as you have, but I'll give it a shot. At first I thought it was poor quality music, but it's certainly not. At certain frequencies it almost sounds like severe distortion/crackling.

It is not something I will take it to the dealer for, as the risk of more problems or rattles after a high-school dropout ripping apart your interior and putting it back together far outweighs the annoyance of buzzing at certain frequencies.

I'm sure you already would have thought of this, but I had items in my door "pockets" which would vibrate due to the bass, and cause rattling noises.

Guys

Why don't you take it back to BMW. In australia rattles are covered for the first year of new far warranty

I don't think non-BMW equipment/options is covered under warranty. I always interpreted this to include the HK system because it's made by HK, but maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Mate if you paid for it at bmw (and it is considered a factory option) then you are covered by what ever warranty any non hk car has.

I don't have a HK, so I can't speak from experience, my opinion is more generalised as i would imagine your not only paying for a premium product but more importantly a warranty.

Mate just take it to them and let us know, i think you'll be surprised to find it is covered.

x2, they built the car, they offered that specification as a factory build. It should therefore come out the factory without any problems.

As one of the big 3, they don't like little things like that put any negativity on their cars; they'd much rather take a little bit of time to fix it... I say that from experience

My rattles have been fixed. They used some type of glue to fix the side skirts - apparently (or even better as i've experienced) the glue also absorbs some of that sound.

Keep in mind this is the 3rd time it has been taken in for that problem.

They glued your side skirts? A lot of guys are having the side skirt rattle problem, including myself. My right rear HK speaker rattled when I first got it...I took it to bmw and they fixed that rattle.

Yeah mate, they are fixed and no rattle. Apparently they used some ultra expensive glue, I'm assuming they didn't use sikaflex.
