Whenever I see an e92 m3. I just think damn it looks more aggressive and more like a M3. Sporty lines and sporty rear. There are way too many E90. Maybe I should just wait for F32.
Way too many E90?! Where do you live because around here there's 5 E92's to every E90. And even less in the 6MT

I personally like the rear end but if you don't need the extra room to haul people around then get whatever makes you happy.

You're correct, but only Jackie Stewart can tell.

I'm partial, but sometimes do feel the same as you. I think a properly set up e90 can look great and just as nice as a nicely done e92

I think you have it mixed up - the E92 is sleek and long looking, while the E90 is chunky and masculine. Especially from the rear

Keep the E90 and enjoy.

Owned two e92s...never considered an e90 because don't need the back seat anyway. Get the one you like. Life is too short to settle.

e90 looks more aggressive to me and is more rare. Love the look of the e90 M3.

My guess is this will cost you at least $10k to make the switch (your call as to whether it's worth it.)

Me personally, I prefer an understated sedan that teens aren't trying to race in their coffee-can exhaust Civics/WRXs/Etc.

E90 just never did it for me, a coupe was the only thing I ever considered.

I think the rear end just looks out-of-whack, and looks especially dated now. No offense to the E90 crowd!

On the other hand, the E92 LCI tail actually doesn't look all that different than the F06 6er Grand Coupe, i.e. the very newest BMW design shapes.

However, I bet the F80 M3 remedies all that. The rear of the F30 looks good, and add some ///M body language to it, and it will look pretty sharp.

Since the F30 sedan uses basically the same back-end design as the E90, not sure how you can claim that the E90 back-end looks "dated".

I totally enjoy looking at my car from the rear. The E90 has that bulldog stance that the E92's droopy rear doesn't have.

4doors= more friends

There are way too many E92s buddy...you need to look @ stats.

I don't think the rear end designs of the E90 looks like the F30. Especially because of the lights. The F30 tails wrap around more towards the front of the car, and more in towards the license plate. The biggest visual difference in the lights is the "LED light tubes", that look short, stubby and stuffed into a tiny space in the LCI E90, but on the F30 wrap around the sides and extend in towards the license plate a la E92, F10, F01, etc.

E90 rear lights just look stubby, to me. Like they don't flow well or integrate smoothly with the rest of the lines on the car. The light tubes on the LCI look like a crammed-in afterthought. Not like they flow as part of the body.

thank you thank you all for the inputs. I am still undecided to go for the trade. I checked out that E92 M3 today, it is in flawless condition. Previous owner took good care of it. PS2 tire thread still remains 40 ~ 50% at rear. E92 is definitely more eye catching to me. But there are quite a few E92 in Taipei. 8 out of 10 are white. I am quite fed up with E90. BMW have been to successful and sold way too many E90. Anyway, I really want EPS. Local cars here are all logic 7 harmon kardon. ( EPS the best then L7 HK and hi fi ) I plan to track the car. I don't really want to add more weight to it by going aftermarket. hmmm

Trade :
10k cash trade in
less accessible/practical
looks cooler also many cooler ones out there

No trade :
keep the 10k
practical/accessible
looks like everyday E90 with a uniquness
