M3 programmed buttons resets itself after starting today
So i was driving today in 103 degree heat, stopped at the bank and came back 5 minutes later. I started the car and all of a sudden i see the DSC off symbol.. i always leave it on with my MDM button so i knew something was wrong.. went it to my settings and adjusted it to activate, then realized that all my programmed memories are gone. I had to reprogrammed all my radio, MDM settings, and all the 1-6 buttons saved settings were gone too. The time and date was still good, but i lost all the main settings which is really scary..
Has anyone ever had this issue? anyone who may know what triggered this problem or had this issue please chime in. Thank you |

It could be your battery is on its way out or it could have just been the heat. I had my car parked at work one day last year and came back to find all the windows down. I thought maybe I had leaned on the button at work but it was about 300 yards away. When I started the car I had lost all of my presets. It has never happened again.

Mine does all of that including resetting time/date.
One of the things you cantry is to try replacing the batteries in your fob. I believe its battery #2302 or 2032. I replaced mine and it still does it on occasion so I'm just going to book it into the dealer as my comfort access also doesn't work. Perhaps they just need to recode the keys |

As long as its not a major issue I can live with it.. It was 103+
I just hope it has nothing to do with VF software or a major electrical issue with the M3, hate to have to drop it off at dealer. Thanks guys |
