That would be a great macro lens and, yes, the crop factor of the 7D adds to "magnification" and the pixel-pitch of the 7D yields tons of details.

I'll just stick with my 100mm macro for now.

If i didn't have the macro, i might opt for that idea. and just put it on my 50 1.8
I agree, it's a lot for so little. But for me, it was a cheap way to shoot macro, so the trade-off was worth it.

A word of caution about buying Extension Tubes based on price, just make certain that the ET will allow your lens to communicate with your camera body. There are so "no names" out there that don't communicate. You can still take pictures, but you'll manual focus, lose all EXIF data, etc. The brand names all communicate and I think that I've read that the latest Kenkos do, but some older models don't.

No, no, cooh23 was the "winner" and we wouldn't want him to not enjoy his "reward."

Sorry guys, i've been on the road and don't really have much time. I will be going on vacation for 24 days so I won't going online. I will take lots of pics though. Gonna be backpacking in Asia.

Can someone decide on the next theme and make a thread?. Thanks.

sorry guys, i've been slammed with 18-hour shoot days. I agree with the Macro theme - maybe more specific: Macro of animate objects.
