Qustion for Competition Package Wheels(ZCP)
Hi, I have questions for ZCP wheels' tire.
I heard many people saying the best tire size for ZCP wheels are Front 245/35-19 Rear 275/30-19 Tires. As you know, front is fine because both sides are suggesting same size of tire. But, i was wondering why OEM ZCP tires are comes with 265/35-19 for the rear. If the 275 is the best?? Thank u

Why wouldn't you go with 255/35's and 275/35's? That maintains the OEM stagger and reduces speedometer error. That's the size virtually all the RAC group buy guys used with the same width wheels and slightly more offset than the ZCP wheels.

"Much better" is going a bit far. The 255 and 275 sizes add a bit of width and maintain the handling balance that BMW built in. If you stick with 245's in the front and go to wider rears, your car will have more of a tendency to under steer. If that's what you want, then have at it.

Tire size is a compromise between handling/traction, clearance, and feel. Larger tires transmit more tramlining and noise. The sizes you mention are not going to yield any noticeable advantage over the OE setup. A much more significant difference can be found with different tires, but keeping the OE sizes. If the car has more understeer than you want, then going to relatively larger front tires will help. This is a subjective and personal thing, depending a lot on driving style. Personally, I find the E92 M3 to have significantly less understeer than did the E46, and I'm not inclined to mess with it for general use.
